Drainage & Detoxification
Our industrialized world has given us much in product and technology, but this gain did not come without a considerable cost. Having left us exposed to potentially harmful chemicals, we have become a toxic and chronically ill world for both the planet and those that share it. The Environmental Protection Agency registers over 80,000 chemicals. Three thousand eight hundred are “high-use” chemicals. Long-term toxic effects in humans are unknown.
In 2005, a study by the Environmental Working Group performed a Neonatal Toxicity Study randomly studying the umbilical cord blood from 10 babies. The results were astonishing. Two hundred and eighty-seven chemicals were found. Each baby averaged approximately 200 known toxins. These chemicals included pesticides, consumer product ingredients, wastes from coal burning, gasoline and garbage. One hundred eighty of these chemicals are known to cause cancer in humans or animals, 217 are toxic to the brain and nervous system and 208 congenital disabilities or abnormal development in animal tests.
These environmental toxins target the immune, neurological and endocrine systems thus explaining the enormous array of common health problems caused directly or indirectly by toxicity. Through recommended lab testing, being aware of your level of toxicity is the first step to improving your health and that of future generations.
More On Toxins
Although our bodies can eliminate harmful toxins produced by both “endogenous” (within) and “exogenous” (outside) when the toxic load accumulates at a higher rate than the body can eliminate, TOXIC SYMPTOMS result.
Environmental toxins come to us daily by way of:
Air pollution and cigarette smoke
Pesticides and herbicides
Heavy metals
Personal care products
Flame retardants used in appliances and fabrics
Although our bodies can eliminate harmful toxins produced by both “endogenous” (within) and “exogenous” (outside) when the toxic load accumulates at a higher rate than the body can eliminate, TOXIC SYMPTOMS result.
Toxic symptoms may associate to:
Fatigue, headaches, muscle and joint pain
Mood changes: anxiety, aggression and depression
Cognitive problems: reduced memory and brain fog
Neurological changes: nerve pain, tremors and balance problems
Immune System changes: chronic infections and / or severe allergy responses
Poor Digestion: constipation, nausea, bloating and weight gain
Hormone Imbalances: infertility, PMS and premature menopause, obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and poor blood sugar balance
Skin Breakdowns: allergies, eczema, psoriasis and acne
Lab Testing
Thanks to many dedicated researchers in alternative health, there are accredited laboratories in Canada providing wellness testing services to Health Practitioners.
Their testing provides scientific data for toxic elements, nutritional deficiencies, hormone imbalances, and latent response allergies with various health conditions through their test procedures.
